Reviews of Sharjah Safari
We had a really good time. Everything was very well organized. Great family activity or if u want to spent some time outdoors. Big selection of animals. Available picnic area.
We had a remarkable experience with Sharjah Safari, the place is great and what they do for animals and what they provide is just amazing!
As a gold tickets visitor, I would like to thank all Safari staff for their efforts and dedication during my visit I noted how much they care about the details they provide, their love and passion for animals and nature..
I would like also to give a special Thanks to the guides:
Ali Sultan - was an amazing guide, drove us in journey through the safari, explained about the area and animals, he is very informative and knowledgeable.
Shaikha: we started our tour with her and she greeted us with a big smile, together we explored the indoor area.
Aishah Alqaidi : even though her shift was over, she took the initiative to assist us with the movie location and spare time for our general questions about the safari. It shows how passionate she is and reflect the spirit of the place!
Thank you all , Sharjah Safari Family
Your efforts are appreciated
Great experience.
One important note is that “Bushveld Cafe” surprisingly doesn’t offer coffee or tea. Additionally, the buffet lacks variety in its food options.
Overall, it’s worth visiting.
Highly recommend,
Well organized and well maintained, the over-all structure/ build ups and arrangements are very natural. Appreciate the way they designed and manage such an amazing echo system
Going on Sharjah Safari was a great and exciting experience to spend your vacation with your family.. I advice to buy silver tickets in advance online before 2 days to ensure it's not fully booked
The place is great and the vibes are perfect for youngsters, but make sure to get the silver or gold tickets cause bronze once allowed areas are very limited
Sharjah Safari is one of the top spots to visit in the UAE! The park is very clean, full of amazing animals, and the staff are super friendly. The beautiful nature and close animal encounters make you feel like you’re really in Africa. A perfect place to visit for anyone who loves animals and nature!
Sarjah safari is the huge open world park near Dhaid. Much bigger than Dubai safari. Great fun for families. Slightly disappointed with food options but they just opened I think it will be popular place
Sharjah Safari were great and fun but unfortunately the wild animals like lions and tigers wasn’t there, I’m not sure why but it was great experience
One of the most beautiful places to spend your day at! It’s perfect for nature lovers! I liked how the trip was organized perfectly! The variety of animals there was amazing! The animals show was so beautiful and enjoyable! I enjoyed watching the flamingos and the cute lemurs from a near distance! And also the restaurant was so good and the atmosphere was amazing! this place worth visiting!
Take at least a silver package. It'll worth it. Be sure to allocate 4 to 5 hours for the visit coz you're gonna spend around 3 hours on the open air covered truck around the safari (including 45 minutes break at Safari Camp). Be sure to arrive early before your selected time or the truck will move without you. During our visit, we have to wait 1 hour because it was foggy that morning. Once sun has risen and fog cleared, we start our journey.
The animals were simply breathtaking. They had a lot of space to roam, which was refreshing. Pictures of the beautiful creatures attached.
We bought silver tickets. I posted the chart of ticket types in the pictures for reference. The heat wasn’t kind to us, even though it’s only late March. The staff was extremely professional.
We couldn’t book our tickets online for some reason so when we got to the counter to book gold, they said it can only be done by phone. It was okay, silver wasn’t so bad. I just wish there was a clearer way to buy tickets in advance.
The tour was done in Arabic, which was fine for our family… but for others on our tour, not very accommodating. The tour was around 2.5 hours with a break. For us, that was really long, but we were grateful for the break.
Good to visit on working days . As too much crowded on weekends. It was a great experience. Although animals are less but the place is great and most of the all the staff of that place is so helping and lovely people .very cooperative and very friendly people. So happy to be there . Washrooms r so clean and well maintained. The whole place is up to the mark. I bought the silver ticket which is not included the lion den tour from inside but u can see the lions . There was a bird show as well , which was so beautiful and really enjoyed that . Highly Highly recommended 👌 👍 👏 💯
If you want see wild animals you should be there before 2 o clock.
A wonderful experience. We took a gold pass and the family thoroughly enjoyed it. Seeing the animals in open fields is extremely pleasurable. Very well maintained and the staff is so warm and friendly. Special word of thanks to our guide Mr. Umair who told us about the park layout, and the animals. He was a pleasure to be with.
Area of park is large but animals are less.
If we take silver tickets they will take you in Van which has lot of fans so didn’t feel much hot.
The giraffe area is worth watching.Lots of giraffes are there. We can see them walking and taking shower .
We saw one lion from distance
Turtles are also nice..we can watch the trainers feeding them. Before you get into Van there are some exhibits of wild life which is nice to see and explore.
One coffee shop is there inside.
Location is near Dhaid in Sharjah
Great place!
Very friendly and welcoming staff!
Excellent service!
Yes, not many animals so far, but it’s a new place. They will get more. In the end, they are not trying to present the wild life from all over the world. It is Africa. You have lions, rhinos, crocks, gazelle, giraffes, birds, turtles etc. They are getting elephants soon. There is a nice restaurant, several cafes, kids playground. You can bring your family and enjoy the weekend. We bought gold class and were riding in an open Land Cruiser 76. You can upgrade to a Mercedes van, but it won’t be as exciting.
They have done a really great job with tons of educational stuff for kids and not only.
Must visit!
We were told the safari is sold out only bronze option is available. Spoke to the attendant and they were able to make arrangements for us and other folks who did not have their tickets pre booked. It was fun and worth the time. We all loved it. Must visit if you in UAE.
Sharjah Safari offers a mixed experience that may appeal to those with few other options. The park is expansive, but the overall experience falls short of expectations. Upon arrival, visitors are required to wait for around 30 minutes before boarding the safari bus, which then takes you on a 45-minute ride through the enclosures. While the enclosures themselves are spacious and the animals appear well cared for in an environment that closely mimics their natural habitats, the safari bus organisation leaves much to be desired.
Midway through the safari, there is a 20-minute break for lunch. Unfortunately, the buffet-style food in the cafeteria appeared unappetizing, with dishes that seemed to have been sitting out for quite some time. Although we returned to the bus within the allotted time, we had to wait an additional 25 minutes for a few latecomers, with no consequences for those who failed to follow instructions. This lack of punctuality management significantly detracted from the overall experience.
Another food option on-site was a basic cafeteria, though the offerings were equally unappealing.
That said, the walking section of the safari was enjoyable, particularly the peaceful bird enclosure, and interacting with the lemurs was definitely a highlight.
Given the overall experience, I personally wouldn’t return and feel that it may not offer good value for money.
FYI: There are 3 types of tickets in Sharjah Safari: Bronze, Silver and Gold: (Child is considered a person aged 3-12*). So:
Bronze tickets for those who go on foot safari,
(adult ticket 40 dirhams = $ 11, and children's ticket 15 dirhams = $ 4),
The silver ones will travel on large buses (adults 120 dirhams = $33, children 50 dirhams = $14),
The Goldens will travel in an open car with a closed top, and with a personal guide.
(adults 275 dirhams = $ 75, children 120 dirhams = $ 33).
So tickets were available only for walk yourselves. The rest were sold out online. Imagine, in Safari, it's not so easy to get there. Moreover, the prices there for golden tickets are not small at all! And no discount programs even for residents.
For our large group, we found tickets only to walk our feet…not sure if I can say that we saw the whole Safari, but I can definitely say that we were there! A little disappointed that there were no car tickets for us :(
This place is incredible! Did Monday silver ticket and had the best time ever! Proper safari, happy animals, great service, everything was impeccable!! So worth of visiting! Sharja did amazing job with this one, bravo guys!!
We loved the place. My kids (4 and 6) enjoyed the safari and the playground, everything is very clean, animals are not caged and taken good care of, and all the employees are very polite and helpful. We took the silver package
"The largest safari outside africa" holds true with the size of the safari park. The tickets are of various prices. Please do not go in for the lowest one at 40-50AED. You can walk up to 1km with a bird cage and may be visit the per farm with some goats and sheeps, thats it.. from there on you need to have a silver or gold ticket to proceed further.
The silver ticket (120 AED for adults) can take you in an open truck around the safari . After about 30-40 mins there is a camping space which gives 40 mins to the visitors for rest and walk around another bird cage. The trip continues for another 45-60 mins.
During the trip , you can sopt many gazalles, bisons, girrafes (we saw a few calfs as well), Oryx, and other deer family spicies. There is a good space where they have some alligators. They also had about 4-6 Rhinos in there. A small space for Lions (we spotted 2 long away from the bus) resting on the rocks.
There are a couple of restaurants in there, which really do not offer you a lunch menu. So please plan in your visit with kids with some food in your bags. We did enjoy some really good Pizza from there along with Dynamite shrimps. Also carry lots of water...
The trucks are open , so please make sure your little ones are seated in the middle, rather than the ends as the route is a bit bumpy on the way and it might not be very safe for the little ones.
There were three trucks one behind the other while on the safari and the dust from teh first one was in fact troubling the ones behind. There was a guide with a mic in the front truck and you can never really hear them even though the trucks are equipped with speakers.
Pros: Spacious for future enhancement and green. You wouldnt feel like you are in UAE.
Cons: You can spot very few species compared to Dubai Safari Park or even Al Ain Safari. Quite expensive compared to what you get after a 2-3 hours spent there.
Dubai Safari Park is on the top of the list across UAE.
I did not really get what makes the Gold tickets so special (at 275 AED for adults) expect that they travel in a 4x4 with fewer seats. Will pay another visit in sometime to see whats new and how its progressing.
6/10 If you want to spent some time with family and ride around the park.
Your experience depends on the ticket you purchase. For a bronze ticket it is basically a walk in the park. You get to watch only a few species and you have to walk around to spot those. The gold ticket is the actual experience of safari. They take you around in a safari vehicle where you can watch the animals in the open. You get to watch the rhinoceros, giraffe, gazelles, impala and a few other species upclose. Their silver ticket holders are excluded from a few zones like the lion enclosure. Lots of washrooms and access to free water.
Seeing an African kind of Safari environment in UAE is exciting! The premise is very clean and neat. Cost of tickets is slightly higher for silver and gold. Sharjah Safari is a good choice for families to spend time seeing Baobab trees, different bird species, donkeys and also to see the Safari by walk with the bronze tickets.
Really nice place. This is a proper safari park, I.e. not a zoo. Animals room around with lots of space, the place has a very nice natural feel to it
It was really amazing experience.
Beautiful place , we spent all the day on the fresh air .
Very friendly and helpful stuff , especially Aisha and Ousha, so wonderful and friendly ladies .Me and my kids we love them !
I got so inspired by beautiful nature and animals .
Great atmosphere, highly recommend
Nice place with large areas for the animals, so they can move freely. Was lucky to see the lion close.
Took the golden package which was worth it. However would have wished if there was an animal feeding option.
Amazing and affordable place. Perfect for kids.
It was amazing we had a ball of a time. Only thing is it is new and so they are yet to introduce more wildlife and plants. Further im guessing in time they will organize shows as well. But all in all it was a fun 5 hours :D and so totally worth it.
We visited Sharjah Safari with the family on 03 Dec. Definatly always go for the silver experience. Else you might be disappointed.
We were very positively surprised by the Sharjah Safari. It is very nicely designed and maintained with lush greeneries around. The vast areas for the animals are truly impressive compared to other ‚zoos‘. You get a good feeling of how an actual game drive in Africa is with lots of animals to see.
Definatly worth a visit!
I love it don’t mind the negative comments it was sooo good recommend the silver ticket not too expensive . It gives the perfect expeirience . All though at safari camp I forgot a bag and they coudent help me ( no important things in the bag ) . Safari Sharjah is not responsible for your belongings .
We took the bronze tickets and explored the Safari by walking. Birds, small animals and the ambience were interesting except the prices of tickets being slightly high.
A good place for fun with friends and family, huge area with 1000s of plant species. Highly recommended to visit between November to February.
Spectacular very big place ive visited so many wild life around the world but this one was one of the best got the golden ticket after so many tries because its always sold out still not all areas are open but most of them are open loved the giraffes very organized and the guid lady she was well behaved and explained everything and kept the tour active there was no awkward silence during the trip.
I love the way they made it , creating same enviroment for each animal, all the team there are nice and profissional, safari still needs more animals, however its Amaizing. Thank you for the spectacular job.
Very beautiful place!
Congrats to Sharjah for yet another beautiful conservation for a price, which is very fair.
We were here during the week and had this place for almost ourselves.
Everything is made with so much detail.
Great kids playground, water stations, clean and plenty toilets.
We really loved our time here and will be back!
To enjoy the whole area, minimum get a silver ticket.
Reality check: this is a safari, not a zoo! Some comments here complain about the lack of animals. They have lots of space here and luckily are not cramped in small areas.
Is one of the best places in the world. They show great care for animals and are very kind to visitors.
Very nice safari park. Recommended to visit
Great place .Felt like an African tour.
If you want to meet wild animals, it's better to take silver and gold tickets. For browns ticket only ,we can see the African bird and some small animals, its very neat and tidy places.silver ticket around 110 and gold ticket 200 per person
I would give highest rating to infrastructure and the way they’ve made this place but unfortunately there are very less animals that hardly you get feel of safari. Secondly guides here have lack of hospitality and language issues. They don’t feel happy while guiding you for anything.
Don't waste money on gold tickets, silver is enough.
Most of the animals you'll see are different species of antelopes.
Birds and lemurs zones are boring.
Great collection of flora and fauna.
Well laid paths and directions.
Good place for kids especially in winter time
Had a wonderful experience at the Sharjah Desert Safari. Great collection of common and nearly extinct animals put in their natural habitat and protected from external threats.
The only suggestion for improvement is to have tour guides give info to visitors in a different language in addition to Arabic. This is because of the large number of tourists at the site who do not speak Arabic.
One of the best place in sharjah to explore African wildlife with your family, children and friends . Petting, wildlife and african birds are the attractions
Very nice experience at sharjah safari ! Nice service and it has been nicely designed to showcase the natural habitat of African Wild animals
Grest place for family activities
We tried a silver ticket for 120 aed. Not worth 120 aed.
A fun and modern zoo, but I did not like its system! To see the large lakes, you must take an open-top bus or private cars at a high price, different from the ticket price, and the last departure time is 2 pm, and this is when the sun is vertical!! If we do not take this tour, the tour will only be about birds!! This is a wrong system! To see large animals, it must be optional, either on foot or by bus! Or extend the bus timing!! Our visit was incomplete because we arrived at the park at 3 pm.. A fun and modern zoo, but I did not like its system! Honestly, it is a very beautiful place and will be worth a visit, especially with children. The services are very excellent, such as bathrooms, restaurants, and the staff are all Emirati. There is a small branch of the Sharjah Association inside, with the same prices as the association. For children, there are free strollers.
Honestly, it’s a very beautiful place and definitely worth a visit, especially with kids. The services are excellent, including clean restrooms, restaurants, and the staff is entirely Emirati. There’s also a small branch of the Sharjah Co-op inside with the same prices as the main branch. For children, free strollers are available.
Sharjah Safari... Our trip was on 12/24/2024 at 9 a.m. The park contains antelope of many different types, including those that enter the water and then come out not wet. There is also a bird, I think the ostrich, that lays only one egg per year, and the zebra is born and is only black in color. Then it changes to black and white and a lot of rare information. We were accompanied by the guide Muhammad, a competent citizen with very experience and useful information. We had fun with him and the driver Rashid as well. Keen to keep us for a good while to see the animals.
Thank you to all the safari workers. We were heartened to see many citizens from the same area, including Sister Moza, at the reception.
Also, the prayer hall, other services, and restaurants are wonderful, organized, and clean.
Honestly, excellent, and special thanks to Umm Rashid Bushhab for organizing and explaining the Sharjah Safari 🫡
Frankly, the experience was amazing, and the two guides, the brothers from Qibla Al-Kutbi, were distinguished in the explanation
Beautiful place, very interesting. The silver ticket is the best. You definitely need to take a safari, and not just an entrance to the park, otherwise you won’t see all the animals
The most beautiful and enjoyable tourist destination in Sharjah
I went on a school trip with my friends and it was nice, God willing, and I will come back, God willing, to go with my family. The staff were cute and kind. I would rate the place and the trip 10-1000000000. I would highly recommend you go with your family.
