I would like to express my deep gratitude for the work of the Dr. Omowunmi Braithwaite team and midwife Olga Badich! Our daughter was born on December 12 and it was an experience that my family and I will remember for the rest of our lives. This was my first baby birth and so I decided to prepare for this event from the very first month of pregnancy, Olga answered all my questions, helped me to better understand all the processes that were happening with my body, my goal was natural delivery and without any intervention, so it was very important for me to know more information in order to prepare properly for childbirth. Thanks to this preparation and constant communication with Dr. Braithwaite and Olga, I arrived with my husband at the hospital on the morning of December 12 (I had full disclosure), and 2.5 hours later our baby was born. At the very beginning, I thought that it would be more comfortable for me to give birth in water, the hospital has excellent conditions for this, but as it turned out, for me personally, it was not very comfortable. In the end, I gave birth vertically with the help of a midwife's chair, it was very unusual, but it was the best and most comfortable option for me (attached a photo). Olga was behind me, and Dr. Braithwaite was in front and helped me with the right words and her extraordinary strong energy. With such professional work, I was sure that I could do everything! My husband was nearby and cut the umbilical cord a little later! In the end, everything worked out as I planned, I gave birth naturally and gently, lived every moment. Yes, it was painful, but without it I would not have known how strong we women are and how we can, with the right support and professionals nearby, perform such a miracle as the birth of children! I had an amazing experience with Dr. Mennatallah with my kids, I would like to mention that she supported me on my breastfeeding journey when I was about to introduce formula for my little one she was helping me with techniques to enhance my milk quantity and quality as well as pushing me to complete breastfeeding and pumping. After one month I’m here to say that I’m so happy with my experience!!!!! The Path to Healing: My Birth Story In 2019, two days before my due date, contractions started – the natural birth of my daughter had begun. Everything seemed to be going according to plan until, after full dilation and three hours of pushing, complications arose. My baby couldn’t be born, her heart tones dropped, and I was given a diagnosis that felt like a life sentence: “Narrow pelvis.” An emergency C-section followed, and to make matters worse, my uterus was cut with a T-incision. The most painful words came from my doctor: “You will never be able to give birth naturally.” After the birth, I faced not just the physical recovery but also the emotional weight of guilt – the feeling that I hadn’t done enough, that I wasn’t strong enough. When I became pregnant a second time, I lacked the knowledge and confidence to challenge what I had been told. I heard the same warnings – that a natural birth with just 16 months between pregnancies was dangerous and impossible. I agreed to a planned C-section. But deep inside, I knew I wanted to give birth naturally. My third pregnancy became my opportunity to do what I had always believed I could. I sought support and found it in two incredible individuals – Olga Dukat and Dr. Palikov. They were the first to give me the confidence to believe I could have a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). Life took me far from my home country . But fate continued to be on my side. I met Dr. Breithwaite and Olga, and from our first meeting, I knew they were the people who would help me achieve my dream. On the morning of December 5, the first signs appeared – my mucus plug came out, and my waters started leaking slowly throughout the day. The contractions grew stronger after 9 PM. By 4:15 AM on December 6, I arrived at the hospital. What followed was an incredible experience. No medications, no unnecessary interventions – just the unwavering support and guidance of my team. Even when I started doubting my own strength, they believed in me. At 6 AM, I entered the birthing pool. I could feel the pain and emotions intertwining, overwhelming yet empowering me. By 7 AM, after much effort and determination, my son was born into the world. That moment was one of complete healing – from the physical pain, the guilt, and the self-doubt. Every tear I shed carried gratitude and joy. I owe this moment to the extraordinary women who stood by me – my guardian angels, Dr. Breithwaite and Olga, and the entire team that supported me. They gave me the strength to believe in myself and achieve what once felt impossible. This birth was not just the way my son entered the world – it was my healing, my proof that I could. I want to share my personal experience on giving birth at HMS Mirdif. I just delivered my baby 5 days ago now and have nothing but good words to say. My previous pregnancies were both natural and when moving to Dubai this was my goal to find the medical support that would help facilitate my 3rd natural delivery. Upon searching I found Dr. Braithwaite! She was the dream Dr, and helped me through my requests along with Olga who we had alongside her. Whilst Dr granted all my delivery requests and did not push for anything in particular, Olga was there to support me just before the birth and through the delivery itself. We were a dream team, and labor was as smooth as can be with no trauma and an amazing recovery! I also had the water birth that I was hoping for as they had a beautiful tub to facilitate that. It is so refreshing to know that there are still people that believe in natural birth the way God intended it to be. I can not praise these 2 women enough for what they are contending for. If you are looking to have a natural birth or even a well supported birth with a Dr that knows their stuff I would recommend HMS Mirdif, Dr Braithwaite and Olga Badich. Thank you again.

I had very positive experience with this hospital and doctor Rawneq Adnan. She is amazing doctor, so professional, always in great mood and she does everything with smile. I felt very safe with her during delivery and each visit. She has so many patients but she will never show you that she is under pressure or angry. She is great in her profession which is not easy at all. Big thanks to all of her nurses specially Lilian and Saya(If I remember the names correctly). Small minus I would give for meals, they should improve taste of food, also there should be snacks and coffee/tea in between meals, since many hospitals have this.

However, I came to HMS due to Dr. OMOWUNMI BRAITHWAITE, my sister along with many of her friends delivered with her back at Kings hospital, and highly recommended her. Went there the first time for an emergency for one of my kids. The staff at the reception did their best to prioritize. We saw a doctor quickly and were well taken care of. Eventually, my kid was admitted for 2 days. Nursing was really on point. Special thanks to all the doctors, the nurses (Ameera for instance was fantastic), the staff. For instance, over night, nurses would put the nebuliser on my kid without waking her up, holding the nebuliser for the entire duration of the treatment, multiple times per night. Other nurses would engage in interesting discussions. Food was good too with choices. Rooms were very clean. Cleaning staff and maintenace available all the time. Equipments and facilities are new. Another positive point is that they tried to give an cost estimate before starting treatment and admission to avoid any surprise. The estimation was close to the final bill. I can't say I wish to go again, because going to hospital is not always a good sign, but if I have to go again, for an emergency or a routine treatment, I will go to HMS again.

I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to this amazing institute. Be lotfi Allah first and thanks to their exceptional staff second, my son's life was saved. My son woke up in the middle of the night having trouble breathing. I rushed him to HMS Hospital as it was the closest hospital. The emergency room staff led by Dr. Ahmed AlNsour immediately went to work. We were in full panic mode as my son could not breathe anymore. Dr. Al Nsour and the other Emergency room doctors and nurses were simply angels on earth. From the emergency room, and once the breathing aids weren't working, they immediately acted fast. Rushed him to the resurrection room, where Dr. Unnikrishnan Varma together with the help of Dr. AlNsour and the nurses, inserted a tube in my son's mouth to help him breathe. His vital signs stabilized immediately wal hamdu lel Allah. The doctors assured us that he has passed the critical stage but will need to stay in the ICU until he fully recovered. The time is now approaching 3am. That's when Dr. Khawla Darweesh was called and she showed up to the ICU at 3am. She assured us that our son's vital signs were stable and he should continue to recover in sha' Allah. Later that early morning we met with Dr. Maged Abu AlMagd. Dr. Maged was supportive and reassuring. His confidence and expertise made us feel much better. While in the ICU, my son was looked after by another God-send angel, nurse Amira. I cannot say enough about Nurse Amira. She should be called Angel Amira. The level of care she provided my son and my wife with really helped us cope with the most difficult period of our lives. We are forever grateful to you Amira. My son stayed in the ICU for a few days, throughout this period, Dr. Maged was constantly providing us with updates and assurances.
