Ohmygosh wasn’t expecting it to be this good. Food was so flavourful and decent amount of serving. I was stuffed after having the weekday lunch deal. Their Szechuan beef was amazing. I didn’t even eat it with rice in the end even tho they absorbed the gravy glaze pretty nicely. But the beef and vegetables were delicious on their own. Also the peach tea was spot on! The servers did an amazing job! Thank you so much for having me

My first time trying this place as per my friend's recommendation. Love their crispy duck! Too bad I was not able to try out their fish dishes as they ran out of ingredients and was not delivered on time (to be fair, we arrived on lunar new year day itself and previous night must be packed for them to ran out of ingredients seeing it was lunar new year eve). Another reason for me to come back and try their other menu items. 😉

What makes this place even more special is the exceptional service. The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and incredibly friendly. Recently went for dinner at New Shanghai Restaurant. We ordered several dishes for the table so we could get a taste of everything. All the dishes were great and filled with flavour. There were also a lot of vegetarian options for non meat eaters. All the waiters were friendly and very helpful. The artwork and decorations suited the restaurant really well.

Looking for some great Chinese food, then look no further when you are at Dubai Mall. New Shanghai is an absolutely beautiful restaurant with a great ambience and equally great food. And the staff here are all extremely courtesies and super friendly. Ambience: (5/5) The space is made extremely well with interesting design elements that have a very oriental feel to it. The use of mirrors makes the place feel much larger than it actually is. The seating is also well organised and can host groups of various sizes Food: (4/5) We ordered the Jasmine tea and Chinese Stir Fried noodles. The jasmine tea was fantastic and I drank almost the entire pot alone. It feels perfectly mild yet the flavour is very distinct. The stir fried noodles were also great, the portion sizes are large and ensure that this is a meal in itself. The flavours are great. I would have preferred that it was a tad more on the spicier side, but our waiter did bring some chilly sauce to ensure that I could make mine as spicy as I would like. Summary: (4/5) This is an excellent Chinese restaurant in Dubai Mall and would recommend it to anyone looking for good food and great ambience while they take a break from the shopping.

We ordered 2 soups, 2 main dishes, 2 dumplings, drinks and desserts. Corn soup and wanton soup was good. Chicken shaoring bao was potty. Tasteless. I was very disappointed. I always have this dish in Din Tai Fung and dumplings in Dina Tai Fung are much much better. I ordered kung pao king prawn but till my friend finished sizzling mogolian beef my mains dish didn’t come. When the server asked me if I wanted to have dessert and tea, I asked for my food. 10mins later I got salt and pepper prawn lol Tea was good and the pudding dessert was ok. I would go back but I won’t order Chicken shaoring bao.

Ordered Szechuan Beef and Duck Gua Bao..the Szechuan Beef tasted good but the presentation could be improved..the Duck Bao also tasted good though it was dry and the presentation also could be improved (large slices of cucumber dominated the bao)...otherwise, ambience and customer service were great..

🥬I’ve been missing Chinese food a lot lately, so I came to this restaurant I saw recommended. The decoration in the store is Chinese style, the wooden tables and stools are antique, and the environment is very nice👍 🥟The xiaolongbao are all delicious, with thin skin and juicy texture, especially the crab meat ones, and the filling is fresh and fragrant, absolutely amazing! 🫘The mapo tofu is a big portion, not too spicy, it’s mainly delicious when mixed with the soup 😋 The stir-fried beef is a small portion hahaha, but the meat is really delicious, you can try it. 🎣The steamed sea bass meat is very fresh, and there are not too many seasonings. What you eat is the freshness and sweetness of the ingredients, which is great💕 In addition, each dish comes with a spoon🥄 This is quite good, you don’t have to worry about the smell of different dishes. Son. If you want to eat here, you will come again✌️
